After reaching Oregon by wagon with Jenny Calhoun, Caleb (Mac) McDougall must choose—return to the East or remain on the frontier. Mac’s passion for Jenny has grown, but abuse in her past numbs her to his feelings.

It was well worth the wait -- for Theresa Hupp's Now I'm Found, the sequel to Lead Me Home. . . . Mac and Jenny are made for each other -- but will they ever get together? . . . Clearly, Hupp has done extensive research on both the difficulties of traveling the Oregon Trail, and prospecting for gold in the California mountains. The descriptions of those closely-related periods of history are exciting backgrounds for a tender love story.

I really enjoyed the book. I liked it as well as the first book in the series, Lead Me Home. The characters have depth and the story itself is great. Additionally, I really enjoyed learning a few things about the California Gold Rush.

A rainy day of reading spent delightfully with Mac, Jenny, the California Constitutional Convention, the Pershings, the Abercrombies, and all the wagon train neighbors. Loved the story, the suspense, the interesting history and the whole ambiance of what life was like back there and then.
