My 1000th Blog Post and Canadian Thanksgiving

I predicted in January of this year, on the tenth anniversary of this blog, that I would hit my 1000th post later in 2022. Well, here I am—WordPress tells me that this post is the thousandth.

We are two days past the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday—the older cousin of the U.S. Thanksgiving. I’ve decided to use this holiday proximity to thank my readers for their continued following of this blog. Many long-time personal friends read my posts, and I enjoy keeping in touch with them. Many other readers have become friends, even though we’ve never met—one of the advantages of blogging.

Over the ten-plus years that I have been posting, I’ve published seven novels (five historical novels under my name, and two contemporary novels under a pseudonym). My critique partners, editors, beta readers, and post-publication readers have all helped me grow as a writer. You have devoted your time to reading what I write, and I am often speechless at your generosity.

And I wonder how I became so lucky as to spend my “retirement” researching and writing fiction.

Thank you, readers!
