Update: Website and Awards

I wrote a few weeks ago about problems some readers and I have experienced with this website. After receiving feedback from readers about their issues, I hired WPBeginner to figure out what was wrong with the site. They found some malware on the website and cleaned it off. They also recommended additional security safeguards, which I have implemented.

I hope that readers of my posts now find it easier to navigate the site and to post comments. I also hope readers do not get sent to any suspicious links.

From my perspective as the author of posts on the website, I have found it much improved. I can now upload my posts more easily, and I can once use include images on my posts without the problems I had been experiencing.

If you ever have issues with reading my posts or linking to this site from Facebook or LinkedIn, please let me know. You can leave a comment on one of my posts, or use the Contact Me page to email me about your concerns.

I have some good news to share: My latest novel, When Heart Shall Fail, published in 2023, is a Thorpe Menn nominee and is also a finalist in the Missouri Writers Guild Best Fiction contest. Given the slow progress of my current work-in-progress and the recent website problems, it was nice to receive some encouragement for my writing.

Many thanks to readers of this blog over the years—you have also provided me with encouragement.

CONGRATULATIONS on the promising book accolades! Such encouragement goes a long way when in the throngs of writing. And best wishes with the website improvements. The Follow page still pops up when I start my comment (even though I am already a follower) but otherwise, looks good!
